So in 2018, both in New York State Legislature and the New York City Council had a focus on anti-harassment laws in the workplace and both the state and the city did pass a variety of statutes, which increased the obligations on employers and also enhanced the rights of employees with respect to anti-harassment in the workplace. There are training requirements now in place.
And by October of this year of 2019, most employers in New York state need to ensure that their employees receive annual training on anti-harassment, which includes how to identify harassment, where to report harassment, and also includes forms that folks could utilize to report harassment to their employers.
